Every wedding we do is different. Even if it is at the same venue with the same vendors, with the same colors, and same theme, every wedding is different. Every couple has a different personality, they bring something different to the day. Paula and Adam were both laid back and relaxed about the day. They were just their to enjoy their time together with family and friends. Read more...
Jenna and Dustin were married at the Twin Oaks Garden Estate which is centered around an old school house that was built in 1891. From the moment you walk on to the property you are seemingly transported back to the end of the 19th century. This venue was perfect for both Jenna and Dustin. Read more...
Tiffany and Brandon were in for a surprise when I sent them their wedding highlights. I decided it was a good idea to edit their video to an ever increasing music genre called "dubstep". I actually took a huge risk editing this way before showing any proof of concept to them; for if they didn't like it, then I would have wasted my time. This edit was actually going to be a polar opposite had I not gotten sick, which forced me to not work for a few days. In that short span, a few things happen that made a shift in direction for this edit. Read more...
Wow, just wow. There is basically no need for me to write anymore about this wedding and location, the edit tells it all. However, I do need to justify the pictures and cool formatting below. So I suppose I will write a bit more to keep your attention on this page a bit longer. Read more...
When Eileen and Aaron contacted us to shoot their wedding and mentioned that it was going to be on a yacht, we said, "yes, please!" After getting ready at the Hyatt, the whole wedding party headed down to the Electra Cruises located right next to the beach in Newport Beach, CA. We were also happily surprised to see Sandy and Kris at the wedding as Aaron and Kris went to college together. Read more...
Every wedding we do is so vastly different from the next. I'm always amazed at the variations you can have for a wedding. And don't get me wrong, this isn't a complaint, its thankfulness that my job never gets boring! This is just a simple teaser for Tracey and Richard's wedding. It was located at the quite unique and amazing Highland Springs Resort in Beaumont, CA Read more...
Where to even begin with this blog...so much to say! I really enjoyed both shooting and editing this wedding. Kayla and Anthony were a true joy to meet and work with. Barely into shooting this wedding I knew immediately that it was going to be a different edit all together, and boy I couldn't have been more spot on. This edit marks several firsts for Rustic Red Studio, music style choice, shooting style, color grading, audio mixing, cinestyle ratio, and Magic Lantern hacked firmware and Technicolor Cinestyle color profile on camera, all of which I will address below. When we first showed up to shoot this wedding, I knew that it was going to be a good day. The weather was down right perfect and the moment I walked into the bridal suite it just felt right. Throughout the day as I got to really know Kate and Eric and their family, I got to see how closely knit each family was with each other. Read more...
Jennifer and Chris are an amazing couple that I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with. Their wedding was at the beautiful Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells, California. The resort itself was quite a spectacle and a perfect place to spend time with family and friends. Jennifer and Chris choose to do a first look or reveal before the ceremony. This allowed them to do the photoshoot with each other before the ceremony and to start celebrating with the wedding party early. Read more...
In anything I edit, the first 30 seconds is the most important. It sets the tone for the rest of the edit and it is my one opportunity to capture your attention for you to want to watch the rest. In this case I could resist showing everybody the beginning of the edit. I wrapped it up in teaser form an uploaded it for everybody to see. Read more...
