Maria and Rick came to us just weeks before their wedding and asked if we could shoot it. Thankfully for both them and us, we didn't have the date booked yet. Due to a venue mishap in Las Vegas, Maria and Rick had to change not only the venue but also the date of their wedding which consequently threw off some of the vendors as they had previous weddings already booked on the new date. Tiffany and Brandon were in for a surprise when I sent them their wedding highlights. I decided it was a good idea to edit their video to an ever increasing music genre called "dubstep". I actually took a huge risk editing this way before showing any proof of concept to them; for if they didn't like it, then I would have wasted my time. This edit was actually going to be a polar opposite had I not gotten sick, which forced me to not work for a few days. Even though we shot a wedding just two weeks prior to this one at the Muckenthaler Mansion, this one is vastly different from the other. I would be daft if I said it weren't partly due to that we cater to our clients needs and shoot differently for each couple. The other part that plays a huge roll in the difference is the couple themselves and how the wedding goes. It just amazes me that we can shoot in the same location and have a different end product. Where to even begin with this blog...so much to say! I really enjoyed both shooting and editing this wedding. Kayla and Anthony were a true joy to meet and work with. Barely into shooting this wedding I knew immediately that it was going to be a different edit all together, and boy I couldn't have been more spot on. This edit marks several firsts for Rustic Red Studio, music style choice, shooting style, color grading, audio mixing, cinestyle ratio, and Magic Lantern hacked firmware and Technicolor Cinestyle color profile on camera, all of which I will address below.
